There are easier materials to make a cap from. We chose one that changes how it feels.

The Founder Edition began with a simple idea: take something familiar and pay closer attention to the things that can make it feel different.

Material was one of those decisions.

We chose soft-touch microsuede for its tactile finish and subtle nap. Rather than a flat, uniform surface, the fibres respond to touch and catch the light differently as they move. It gives the fabric depth, allowing Walnut, Olive and Sand to shift subtly depending on how they're worn and where the light falls.

That quality was important to us. We wanted colour that felt understated without feeling lifeless, and texture that could be appreciated up close without needing to announce itself from a distance.

Microsuede also changes the character of a cap. It softens something traditionally casual and gives it a more considered finish, while remaining comfortable enough to become something you reach for often.

The material isn't there simply to make AUGIE different.

It is part of what makes AUGIE feel like AUGIE.
